Hub City Beach Party |

WHAT |
| |
Hub city Beach Party is a fun event to raise money for Foster*A*Life
(formerly Foster Dreams) which is a nonprofit agency that grants dreams
to foster children in the 18 counties surrounding and including Lubbock.
The mission of Foster*A*Life is to provide otherwise unavailable
assistance, services, and opportunities to children who have been placed
in foster care. The purpose is to enhance the lives of those
children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned.
Foster*A*Life has fulfilled dreams for sports camps, mission trips,
glasses, mascot uniforms, church trips, sibling group excursions and
much more. We have recently begun a tutoring program in order to
help these children catch up with their classmates. These children
have been called the "Forgotten Children," but Foster*A*Life makes them
feel important and lets them know someone cares! |

The Landsharks |
| |
This phenomenal Florida band is considered to be a Jimmy Buffett
tribute band, but they have an extremely diverse play list. Last
year's partygoers were amazed by this talented band that provided a
fun-filled show! They have played with Jimmy Buffett and have been
the opening act of his show many times. The Landsharks have also
opened for acts such as Patti LaBelle, Three Dog Night, War, and the
Beach Boys. They have performed at parties for Bill Gates of
Microsoft, Michael Eisner of Walt Disney, filmmaker George Lucas, and
the prime minister of Canada. They have also performed for the New
England Patriots during Super Bowl XXXIX festivities including the post
game party. |

CHANGES IN LATITUDE CONTEST! |

Attending the event will enter you in our "Changes
in Latitudes" contest. |

GUITAR HERO CONTEST! |
| |
Begins at 3:00 PM |
 |
The rage that has swept the country is Guitar Hero and it will be at
the Hub City Beach Party! It will be a double elimination contest
and the entry fee is a ticket to the event. CASH prizes will be
awarded. Come show off your Guitar Hero talents. There will
be varied levels of difficulty so even a novice can have fun and win a
prize. |

OTHER CONTESTS |

There will be many activities and games to enjoy during the evening.
Another featured event is the treasure hunt called The Lost Shaker of
Salt!!
A variety of foods and drinks will be available as well.
The event will also have fun games such as hula hoop contests, limbo
contests, the bimini ring game and more!
There will also be a souvenir shop called the Tiki Island Tourist Trap
where those special purchases can be made in order to remember your trip
to the Hub City Beach Party! Be sure to buy your commemorative Hub
City Beach Party t-shirts! |

Tickets are on sale at all Select-A-Seat locations for $15 or at the
Foster*A*Life office.
Tickets will be $20 at the gate on the day of the event
A group rate of $13 for sales of 10 or more tickets. The group
rate is available only at the Foster*A*Life office |
